Lavender Essential Oil (French)

Our Lavender Essential Oil (France) (Lavandula angustifolia) is quite a find having a clean fresh aroma which is a little lighter than our Bulgarian Lavender. Lavender is the most versatile of essential oils. It is relaxing, refreshing, and uplifts the spirits. No home should be without it.

Lavender has a long history of use. The name comes from the latin word “lavere”, which means “to wash”, because the Romans added Lavender to their bath water. It is the essential oil made famous by Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, who, upon burning his hand in a laboratory accident, plunged it into a container of lavender oil and immediately experienced relief from the pain. He was also intrigued to find that the burn healed without the usual blistering or scarring, and became interested in the healing power of essential oils. His studies led to the publication of the book Aromatherapie, and also popularized the term aromatherapy for the study of essential oils.

Our eco-cultivated Lavender Essential Oil (France) balances your body and mind, calming or stimulating according to your body’s needs. Add a drop to the pillow/sheet before going to bed to help achieve peaceful sleep.
